Késsia Riany (b. 1996, Valença, Brazil) is a photographer currently based in Sao Paulo, working internationally. She graduated from the University of Fine Arts of Sao Paulo (FEBASP) in 2017 and completed her postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon (FBAUL) in 2019. Characterized by a Fine Art approach, her work explores the fields of study of the dialogue between the material and the metaphysical, the beauty and sublime and the female figure, creating representations from subjects such as the human body, still lifes, and nature. She often employs alternative cameraless techniques, including photograms and sunprints, while also delving into the fine line between capture and post-capture processes.
